センバタヤは織物をデザインします。

群馬県桐生市は織物をする人にとってテーマパークのような、なんでも出来る夢の街。

その街の中心にあるアトリエにはスウェーデン製のドビー織機がスペースいっぱいに置かれています。

木製の織機で試織、生産をする事もあれば、桐生市内の機屋さんにあるシャトル織機でゆっくり、レピア織機で高速にと様々なテンポで生産しております。

春夏と秋冬、毎シーズンオリジナルテキスタイルのコレクションを発表しております。

テーマは‘今とすこし先’の空気感を反映したものを選び、ストーリーへと発展させていきます。

ストーリーが膨らむほどにその時に合ったカラーパレットや素材感がより厳選され、毎回のコレクションにすこしずつ‘今（トレンド）感’のあるテイストが加わります。

私達は時代の空気を切り取る事と伝統的な手法やゆっくりでも確かなクラフトマンシップを大切にしております。

SENES is Textile Studio, based in Kiryu / Japan specialises in Woven textile both in Jacquard & Dobby.

We create unique and high quality fabrics for wide range of market from fashion to furnishing, from art to high-tech industry.

Each season we create a themed collection of original textile. Themes are picked to reflect what is going on and is going to happen around the world.

Working with themes and stories enable us to develop sophisticated colour palette and fabrics dedicated to each seasons.

We value the importance of reflecting the trend as well as the traditional method and slow handcraft.

Designers have experiences working both in Japan and UK.

Our strength is the unique combination of the Japanese and the European textile creations.

We continue to be creative, technically innovative and experimenting with a forward thinking in weaving.
